Rio Sagrado, A Belmond Hotel, Sacred Valley - Urubamba

The 5-star Hotel Rio Sagrado is built in natural materials, resembling an Aldean village. Its stylish accommodation combines regional and European influences. It offers heated wooden floors, a scenic terrace and a Swiss shower facing the river.

Hotel Rio Sagrado is 5 minutes by car from Urubamba town and a 15-minute drive by car from Ollantaytambo Train Station. By train, it takes 1,45 hours to get to Macchu Picchu. The hotel provides a tour desk to help guests plan their visit.

The hotel day starts from hour 14:00 and ends at 11:00.

Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.

Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee. The tax is applied per room when the room is shared by a taxable and a nontaxable guest.

Foreign business travellers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This fee is not automatically calculated in the total costs for the reservation.

In accordance with the new provisions in force as of April 17, 2021 (DS No. 005-2021-MINCETUR)For the entry of minors accompanied by one or both parents, it is mandatory to carry the passport or identity card of the minor. It is also a requirement to present at the hotel, the birth certificate or birth certificate; as well as passport or identity card of the accompanying parent, as appropriate.

According to Peruvian law (Law No. 28194), cash is not accepted for payments from PEN 2,000.00 or USD 500.00. These currencies must be settled by credit card or other methods approved by the hotel and Peruvian Law. Payments cannot be split between currencies.

Deluxe Terrace Room King Bed. Each Deluxe Terrace Room is unique and offers stunning views of Urubamba river and across the Sacred Valley. Constructed from natural stones and wood, rooms feature a seating area and a private terrace. ;
Junior Suite with Two Queen Beds and Garden View. Garden Junior Suites combine Peruvian colours with European minimalistic décor. These rooms feature a luxurious bathroom with large, slanted windows and a seating area. ;
Deluxe Terrace Room - 2 twins. The spacious twin room provides air conditioning, a minibar, as well as a private bathroom featuring a shower and a hairdryer. A seating area, a desk, a balcony and a tea and coffee maker are featured in this twin room. The unit offers 2 beds. ;
King Junior Suite with Garden View. The spacious suite features 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. A seating area, a desk, a balcony and air conditioning are provided in this suite. The unit offers 1 bed. ;
Apartment. Guests will have a special experience as the apartment provides a fireplace. This spacious apartment consists of 1 living room, 3 separate bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with a shower and free toiletries.
